Ever in Your Favour
I often used to wonder why couples give away wedding favors. I used to think these were just additional cost and were pretty unnecessary.

But not anymore.
After arranging my own wedding, I’ve realized that wedding party favors serve as an important keepsake of the event. Along with the wedding photos and videos, wedding favors allow you and your guests to relive the memorable and priceless moments of your wedding day. They serve as a memento of that special day and the memories that you will treasure for a very long time to come.
Whether it’s a custom candle that brings forth vivid flashbacks from your wedding day, or a simple bottle opener that can remind you of one treasured moment, a wedding favor can liven up your day and make you smile.
Apart from that, offering wedding favors is an excellent way for couples to express their gratitude to their wedding guests. The smallest things can be very meaningful.
Knowing how important it is, many couples do struggle when it comes to choosing wedding favors. This blog will give you some ideas to help you in making such a decision.
What’s Your Theme?
Take time to consider your wedding theme. This is significant because choosing a wedding favor that matches your theme can aid you in tying the theme together. Wedding favors that supplement or complement the wedding theme will help your guests remember the wedding details more accurately as the favors will provide a visual cue to the memories of your wedding day.
It is likewise equally important to use your wedding favors to enhance your wedding aesthetic, and contribute to the look and feel of your overall wedding.
What’s Your Budget?
Think about the budget you have set aside for purchasing favors for your guests. As a general guideline, favors do not have to be very costly. Even so, if you have to buy one for each guest attending the wedding – and depending on the number of guests you invited – the amount can quickly add up. Even a $2 item for each guest of 300 would require a $600 budget! On the other hand, if you have a smaller guest list, you may be able to afford buying more expensive favors for your guests. It really only depends on how much you’re willing to spend.
How Will Your Guests Like It?
When deciding on wedding favors, it is critical to consider how the favor will be received by your guests. While not absolutely necessary, it would be wonderful to give your guests a gift that they will appreciate. A favor that your guests will enjoy will help them remember your wedding more fondly, and for a longer period of time – which is the whole point of the wedding favor.
To Wrap or Not To Wrap
Lastly, you and your intended must consider whether the favors you choose should be purchased wrapped or if you would prefer wrapping these yourselves. A word of caution though, that wrapping hundreds of favors weeks or even days prior to the wedding can be tedious and take a huge chunk of your time that would have been better spent with other wedding arrangements. That said, you can choose a favor that comes pre-wrapped, as this would make things much simpler and easier for you as a couple.
Keep Track
Searching for the best wedding favors for you can be time-consuming. Whether you shop in a traditional brick-and-mortar store or purchase online, you will most likely find numerous options that would work for you. It can be challenging to keep track of which favors you really liked or didn’t like after a while. It can also be a bit tough to remember prices per unit, pre-wrapping options, and other details. To make the decision-making easier, consider taking notes of your options and perhaps even taking photos of the items you are considering. I would highly suggest waiting a couple of days after gathering all of the information you need and discussing it between you and your intended, before making your final decision. Taking the time to let all the information sit with you, will allow you to consider everything you need to, and ultimately help you make the best decision possible. It is just way too easy to rush into a rash decision only to end up regretting it later on.
All that being said, I wish you a happy shopping! May the odds be ever in your favor!
